Very sorry to hear that. I know how you feel, but take heart that body shops can do some amazing things. My brother's wife has an Avalon she saved years for and it got hit twice. You couldn't tell from looking at it that anything ever happened.

Sorry to hear that Jay - just goes to show, no matter how good of a driver you are, sometimes you can't help what the idiot drivers on the road will do. Hope you're fixed and back up and running soon? Its not going to be totalled is it?

Sorry man, nothing to say really, except find such a good body shop that you trust it will be as good as new - as possible. Glad you're OK, that is what really counts.

wow, glad you are ok though, too bad about your wonderful car! Our van go backed into while my mom was at work, she didnt see it until my dad pulled up behind her that the back end had a funny shape in one side. And less than a year age my dads new silverado was wrecked a week before the one year anniversary, when a semi didnt see a taurus signaling and didnt slow down, hit the taurus at 50 mph push the taurus which had its wheels turned to make the funny angle when it was clear, it came out and hit our truck but, it was repaired but its always giving us trouble now. To make things worse we were on vacation with my dads whole side of the family at a resort we rented out and we had to tow the boat home with the van and the our loaner was a Dodge Ram that felt soooo slow!! Ok I dont know why I ranted on and on about my parents accidents but the way they came out in front of you reminded me about my dads accident

It sounds as though you are unhurt, that is the good thing. Sorry about your car but you can find consolation that your baby protected you. Best wishes for the repair of your ride.

Did it do damage to the front end to where you would have to get a new pulley on the front along with making sure it did not hurt any ECU programs or simply have the thing re-programmed once work is all done. (with pulley of course) - All done with the Inurance company covering the expense!!
Now how is that for turning a Negative into a Positive!!??

I want to thank everyone for their kind words..yes Iam very lucky that I was ok...the airbag chemicals burn like pretty badly....shot up my left shirt sleeve and left my skin all irritated...but Iam unscathed as well as the other driver...I towed her immediately to Euro Motorcars here locally and they do decent body work...I want to thank everyone again..once I get her back I am going to lower it and get some new wheels and I will take some pics...

You're okay, that's the important thing. I wouldn't keep the car though. No matter how good the body shop is, a car is never quite the same after it's been wrecked.

Before she goes under the knife, you should get a couple of references from folks that Euro has recently done... just to put your mind at ease.
If your insurance allows, you may want to consider
http://wagonworkcollision.com/index.shtml
They do outstanding body and paint work - I've seen their work first hand, and it is top drawer. They are not cheap, but I know several people locally that would trust no one else with there cars.
Good luck with the process

Be sure and ASK for the diminished value compensation from the at-fault party's insurance company. It gives you above and beyond the $$$ to fix your E55 the difference (in $$$) for the loss you experience upon sale or trade-in. But YOU have to ask for it, as the insurance companies RARELY just hand it over on their own.
