M113k Headers

Are these headers any good and how hard would the installation be? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F12 2786160087

They are Project B5 headers. I bought the same set. I have had mine on for a month now. Header fitment was good, midsection fitment sucked and the rear end of the x pipe and the single piece had to be modified to get it to fit to the stock exhaust. I used the extra high temp grey RTV on all connections and tightened the clamps down with an impact gun. I have very happy with it so far.

If you have a lift and are handy you should be fine, but expect difficulties that will need to be overcome.

If you don't have a lift I would probably not do it unless you have a shop install and fab better mid pipe connections while they are at it. (Even if you did this total is probably less than the next cheapest header)

Actually I don't see them on eBay any more. But maximizers have dropped $400 in price recently, just under 1K for a set. I've heard much better installation reports with those. Might be better to grab a set of those instead of deal with the PB5s.

I was going to go with the EC mids myself but it sounds like there are too much gains to be had between the mids and long tubes so I ended up going with long tubes. However I have no experience with anything but the PB5s.

Alot of customers have issues with the PB5 (theyre not really PB5, theyre XSPower) However some dont.

Here is a link to our Maximizers if youd like to pickup a set. http://vrpspeed.com/index.php?route=...product_id=299
I'd love a set of those, but I don't think I can handle the hassle of swapping to stock every year to pass CA emissions =(((((((((((((((

I made a thread of my experience with Maximizer long tube headers (ARH clones). The videos show actual street gains vs a C6 Z06. I went from EC mids to maximizer long tubes and it was worth every penny.

And they are only $900 on ebay right now. Probably the best route.

technically neither is a good steel both are chinese steel an not true 304 or 321. 1000 shipped is good i was gunna get them as well but for me a lil more is worth the better headers like MBH had to save the pennies up but in the end itll be worth it i think. Im sure the maximizer will be too but i dont have a lift to do them nor will any exhaust shop round here touch em if they hve to remove the cats its illegal not to mention so far my MBH are goin in very nicely an all will.be bolt in with lil to no modification. So remember if u have to pay someone to install them it wont be cheap either. If someone charges 500 to 700 to install now ur knocking on the door of mbh or arh which have better material, are true bolt in, better fitment, an higher quality just saying. As for which to get out of the 304 or 321 it dont matter their all the same just fancy wording none of the chinese versions are anywhere close to a us 304 or 321 stainless steel.

They are good, make sure you can pass emissions!!!!

I had these on my car but took them off 3 months later due to emissions.

Make sure you get the ones with flex pipe, otherwise you'll tear up your motor mounts very quickly.

the flex section has nothing to do with the motor mounts.

the flex sections are not necessary on this platform
