When was your 1st oil change?
I have been splitting the difference with FSS as far as oil changes are concerned on my last few cars. I change it every 5,000 and pay for the in-between service. When did you do your first oil change on your E55? Should I do it at 1,000 or wait for 5K?

I have an 2002 E55 and FSS gave the first change around 24 month and 6,500 miles. My FSS recommended the change based on time rather than miles or viscosity I believe. I don't drive the car much.

I did my first change at 1000kms, 5000, then every 5000km thereafter. There is no way I will leave a freshly broken in motor without an oil change for 5000miles.

5,000 miles. I jus decided to do it every 5K. I dunno if that healthy but oh well...hahahaha I only drive hard at the track when I go about every 3 weeks or so. Other then that I take it real easy...

Haven't yet. 8700 miles and 1400 miles until service B+. Like Lysholm, it's a lease and if MB says it's ok, then it's ok with me. I just pity the poor SOB who buys my 4 year old low mileage car.

I let the FSS do the math. The system is much more sophisticated than I would be - it takes into account time, operating temp, oil temps etc that I would never consider. And these are natural resources were using up!
