FSP - long trips
i am trying to determine if i run a fixed pulley if there would be issues on a long 5 or 6 hour trip ? i know the clutch will reduce heat/IAT's but the fixed is a lot more fun around town/short trips -- any feedback from fsp users would be appreciated...

zero issues to worry as long as your pump is good..

On my clutched system I always pull the belt and disconnect the magnetic clutch with an inline connector installed for long trips. Even with the clutched setup as soon as I tip in with the throttle it's engaged with the pumps on and will stay on until it comes back to idle.
Less wear and tear on everything "off" in my opinion and with 11 hour trips possibly coming up this year to get to the track,I think it's better this way.

Super strange and completely unneeded. So because you have to go more than an hour (or x period of time) on the road you think you need to reduce wear and disconnect the supercharger? Completely rediculous and one of the strangest things I have read in this silly place in a while. Almost worse than the lowering/slamming threads that make the cars unusable.
Mercedes extensively tested these vehicles and engines for wear and longevity.
