03 Mercedes E55 AMG Engine Misfire Problem
I have a E55 AMG that I was recently driving down the freeway. As I exited the freeway suddenly the motor started missing and shaking badly. I came to a stop, motor was barely running and a small amount of smoke coming from exhaust (couldn't tell what color / little sweet smell). Engine light was flashing. I tried to move the car / immediately shut engine off and had it towed to my house.
I checked codes found the following results: P0300 - Random Misfire, and P0308 #8, P0307 #7, P0306 #6, P0305 #5. Also, P0410 - Secondary Air Injection System, P0155 - 02 Heat Circuit - Bank (2) Sensor (1), P0154 No Action 02 Heat Sensor - Bank (2) Sensor (1).
I am pretty sharp in the auto racing world especially on Engines. But would appreciate any ideas on what would cause one bank of cylinders to misfire at the same time. (mileage around 225,000 / well maintained no prior similar problems). Has new fuel pump, filter, plugs

Maybe check coolant level and see if oil in reservoir,take off oil fill cap see if it’s clean or are there remnants of coolant in there .only cause of smoke and sweet smell you described ,

Do you have access to the freeze frame data for these faults? Have there been any recent modifications or repairs? Can you get it running and check fuel trim and O2 sensor values? It wouldn't be a bad idea to check for vacuum leaks around the surge tanks, but I would want more info (freeze frame data, actual values including fuel trim, etc) to narrow it down before starting testing.

Just throwing some stuff out there, check your spark plugs (even though they are new), check vacuum hoses, check the wiring to the coil packs, look for any leaks, corrosion, burning things, compression test, fuel pressure. Any modifications?

Found #8 injector stuck open. Replaced . started engine has what I would call a rocker clicking timed to exhaust miss. Not familiar with upper end of motor. Anyone have drawings or a source for manual. When looking for original problem we turned motor over and the cylinder was full of fuel, pulled plugs in #8 and fuel shot out. Maybe damaged something in valve train. Any ideas. Thank you again for your help...
