I have no idea what you fiances or credit history are like.
My credit union gives me 1% car loans and my investments are earning dang near 20% plus thanks to trump lol. So i do utilize cheap money only if im earning money with my cash.
If i had to make a general recommendation, leave enough in saving for 3-6mo of living in case you cant work.
Put $8k down and finance the other $8k 48mo at 3% (hopefully less)
Thats a $180mo car payment. Now be disciplined and pay another $220mo to your savings.
If you get a tax rebate or any unexpected cash, pay it off or put in something that earns more than the loan.

You're missing too many details to get a good response. Need to know any accident history, maintenance records, overall exterior / interior condition, preventative maintenance. $15k can be a great deal or a terrible deal.
Also, the above post is better than paying all cash - you're making money with your money. But whatever makes you happy.

Buying them is not a problem, maintaining them is? Does the car needs any work (maintenence like oil change/transmission flush/brake fluid and coolant)? What about the spark plugs? Tires? Does everythjing work on the car (options?)
Pay now or pay later, there's no way around it?

Sounds like your dad can help a lot. Let him look it over from underneath to make sure it's not a polished turd. If it checks out, I think that price is fair. I, like the above poster, recommend an emergency fund ($4k should be enough).

What makes you think no accidents? Unless you have that in writing (OEM paint on all panels) or have a paint meter readings? Tires? You think $14,000 is top money for these cars?

Check for glycol contamination and then if you buy it immediately check/replace the radiator. As mentioned in your earlier thread, no one maintains a car well they are going to sell. You should plan accordingly.

w204_racing,
Read the following posts for advice. Be aware that the W211 E55 is costly to maintain properly. You may end up buying one and within a year need to invest $3000 to $4000 in maintenance. 2003 uses a different wiring harness compared to later models and it does not have the rubber cover over the ECU and front SAM. If you do purchase a 2003, buy and install the rubber cover!

CRAZY UPDATE
Update on the price! After negotiating with the sales manager I was able to get the price of $17500 plus $2000 in total with fees to $12750 with fees included. I guess I’m a very good convincer and negotiator!
ive been in the market but I’m now thinking I’ll finish off with this vehicle! Does have aftermarket radio and a stereo on the dash under but it’s all good I’m willing to make it back to stock!
Vehicle is said to be in good condition so I hope it is

Why would you want a stock radio. That was the first thing I got rid of. Test the glycol. If positive you will need a transmission rebuild sooner rather than later.

yep! They’re hooking me up after an internet sales associate was lying. I read their reviews and they are a known dealership to lie to buyers and they said a new company runs the dealership now so they’re making it better, I simply told them I will leave my review and you guys can stop contacting me. 8 hours later sales manager contacts me and tells me he can give me car for $14965.43 yesterday. I convince him a lot and he gets me it for $12750 total which is $250 less than what their auction buys it from them for! Lol. It’s not really Black mailing right? I told them don’t contact me thank you, I don’t want to seem as if I am blackmailing them. The sales manager is really cool and said once I get there my father can inspect it, then their mechanic shop will inspect for repairs and if it needs up to $1000 in repair they will repair for no charge but if any more they will sell wholesale or charge me more. They also will do a fully detail, some fool traded in two cars for a NISSAN not even a sport it’s a 4 door suv 😂. Old man had 72k car but it does have aftermarket radio doesn’t matter to me I’ll just take it out eventually

From 19,500 to 12,700 a reduction of almost $7000 wow.... I am sure they got to make atleast 2-$3000 unless your negotiations were so good that they just want to give you the car at loss.
Making $2000 on this sale for dealership means they must have gotten it for under 10 grand, crazt you ask me..
Anyway in my dealings with car dealers for # of years, making them take off even $300 is like pulling teeth from a Shark's mouth, unless they are stck witht he car and want to just get rid of it.
I'd be very very nervous here. Make sure you have atleast $5000 in spare to get the car going...
