I think I may have tipped off the dealer
I asked my wife to bring my E55 to the dealer today for 10k service/oil change. I gave my wife two instructions; tell the service department not to wash the car and not to change or touch the air filters. She just called me from her cell and told me that after she told this to the service manager, he looked at the car and asked her if it had anthing to do with the white numbers on the side and front windows.
I was at the track on Sunday tuning my purportely undetectable engine modifications and fogot to remove the track numbers.
Oh well....
By the way, do you think she could have called me before she got to the dealer to ask if the white numbers in the front windshield were a problem.
"You didn't do what I told you to do, did you?"
She just did what you asked her to do, not her fault at all. You however. Did the dealer say anything about the numbers. The service writers might not of got it but I will bet the techs did.

englishtown probably... but cmon....air filters are not a mod the dealer would void your warranty with. And i bet you they still cant tell the other mods.

The thing is, don't give the dealer enough rope to hang you. Keep a low profile.

I hear what you mean about not giving them much, but still...there are other dealers to go to too if they give you a hassle.
