Hard breaking
why is it when I press the brake pedal I need a ton of force just to slow down slightly? Do I need new brake pads? There also is a noise is I push brake pedal and release it, it makes a pump noise or something. The car makes a squeak noise as the car speeds up from a stop, I believe it’s the transmission shifting. When I shift to any gear a ticking noise comes after each shift. I will provide videos of the sound once I get home from school.
i want to fix this all before I buy a spoiler and do engine mods.

Search SBC. Sounds like you are about to get into that expensive but common maintenance people were talking about. The good news is you will only have to fix the common problems once if you do it right. Unless you keep it for another 10 or 15 years
I'd go with FCP euro for SBC parts.

If you post your VIN on here, there are plenty of people with access to the VMI of your vehicle to check if there are any open recalls or campaigns.

the dealer wont fix the sbc motor its.not a recall an its out of warranty. This is what needed to be looked at .... thought ur dad was a master mb tech ..... as a "master" this woulda been one of the main things he woulda looked at on an older e55 amg being they are very pricey an require star to install.

I thought the same as a master mb tech ??Everyone thinks there going to buy a used car with no issues, Expect to have a wallet for 2k at times ..
Well,l this why they sell them not to deal with it anymore Most of time they sell due to these reasons or they get a better car.I hate used cars your just being someone else's headaches 90% of time ..
When I sell my cars is that I just get bored and move up to different cars.

Be aware you *MUST* disable the SBC before attempting to change the brake pads. SBC is computer controlled and will activate from one of multiple inputs. When activated, it produces approximatley 900 psi of pressure and will crush your fingers if you are in the midst of swapping pads. Multiple posts on this subject. Read!

My father is a master tech but I’m just tired of asking him everything. He doesn’t give one **** about what goes on with my car he will only help if he needs to. So now I’m coming to you guys, he did check it and we scanned with no codes being thrown at us. I got these pads but they were $28 lol for fronts. Is that real or not, I make return them idk

as was told to you these cars DO NOT respond to cheap parts .... i suggest akebono euro ceramic pads they produce low dust an dont squeek textar are good an cheaper but squeek bad an an produce tons of dust. The lowest i see these akebono euros are usually over 140 for frt an rears bout a 100 sometimes 80 for rear ..... u were warned you have to pay to play with these cars

Yeah my brakes are like 100% worn, they are shaving off caliper when I turn them by hand lol. I'm replacing them soon with quality parts of course, but this has no impact on how hard I have to press the pedal to stop..

PM me your email address so I can send you roughly 56 pages of technical information on your SBC brake system. Read all of it and observe the restrictions/warnings before you damage the brake system at a very high repair cost or, worse, injure yourself or your assistant...crushed fingers or brake fluid in the eyes is not a joke.
The W211 AMG section has very technically competent participants. Most of us here have anywhere from 6 to 45 years of experience on you so we might just know something you don't.

AMEN!!!!!!!! Couldnt have said it better i have been a tech for 38 years and have worked on everything from hondas too lambos an the merc e55 while not a hard car to work on is very picky as to parts it likes an ones is doesnt. It takes a very steady hand an attention to detail. But one thing it needs more than anything is a STAR i finally got one cause its needed even for things as simple as bleeding the brakes. Even a lambo gallardo is simpler to work on an not as finicky.

no worries hopefully its just an accumulator their cheap an simple i even did mine without the star total investment 50 bucks an half hr. But i recommend the star to bleed it an depressurize it. It can be done without the star but have to be very careful

Like the other guys said if you're going to work on it yourself at least get the real part EVERY time. Yes even airmatic compressor (ask me how I know). 100% get the real deal or a verified 3rd party, do research here. These cars are heavy, they're fast, you don't want **** going wrong when you're doing 140mph
