So in looking around for the audio upgrade a surprize.I took apart both sides of the trunk and,no fiber amp or gateway to be found? could this be true.I have all the speakers including the sub woofer but no amp to be found,just these wires.The drivers side just had the rack mounts for the Nav dvd and the can bus module.Thoughts? Will this make for an easy install?
You will need to take out the head unit and check wires that will say for sure. I have had a couple of cars without an amp but not an E class. If there is no amp then they have to run from the head unit. Of course someone could have got to it before you?
Does your car have satellite radio installed? These cars come pre-wired for satellite and the connections are in the trunk - passenger side - behind the trunk panel.
