Thumbs up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvWF0siSmUs&feature=youtu.be

Here's some sounds I took, the video is showing first (with all windows open) idle, light acceleration, medium acceleration (header tick) & finally WOT. Keep in mind I have no secondaries and an X-pipe in place. CLS stock is louder than e55 so expect maybe a 30-40% difference between stock setup and mine on e55 with only headers, I also have a 77mm which makes it louder too! Last bit of the video is WOT for a little bit with all windows up. I'll try get my mate to do some drive by videos tonight so you can hear the full glory..

That's a shame about being imported so recently. I believe that anything registered pre 2011 in NZ doesn't have to have any Catalytic Converters at all. I think since you're removing primaries only most WOF places won't notice, especially since the secondaries are still there and most cars only have 1 set of cats. At worst you'll just need to find some Asians or a dodgy place. I have one in CHCH who barely looks at the car but costs 60 bucks lol.

The best sounding was cls ,e63 mufflers etc sounded like raspy fart tone.e55 mufflers are muffled and restricted actually vs the others

Thanks for the videos. I will have a list on the computer tonight. I will keep the secondary cats. If they have an issue at warrant of fitness time I assume they would be ok with upgrading the secondary's to a full size set to solve the problem. I would be ok with doing that. I usually get WOF at the dealer.

Probably intake. Mine was in the C32 when I did a custom cold air intake too.
