parked the car and next start came on with very rough idle and flashing check engine light...
have changed all four intake and exhaust camshaft sensors..
swapped a new coil from cyl1 to cyl2 no change, due to weather here tomm will swap all four coils to the other side and vice versa, but i dont think its the coils...
71k miles currently, car has purred the past 6yrs ive owned it since 34k miles, always maintained

Maybe o2 sensor, timing problem (Camshaft adjusters), or a leaking intake manifold gasket. If the gasket is the cause, don't forget to replace the PCV at the same time.
Good luck

hoping its not a stuck solenoid in the adjusters.. and def not hoping its a gasket, but would be nice to refresh that area along with pcv since she is old at 71k miles now

yesterday i swapped the upstream o2 sensors, excited, but then quickly shot down when i started her up and same symptoms same passenger side bank... codes cleared by scanner
when i removed affected side o2, it smelled of gas kinda strong out of the manifold o2 hole
next step is getting a tow to stealership, its snowing here today
will keep yall updated

turns out to be a stuck cam adjuster solenoid on the affected passenger side bank
dealer forced the solenoid to actuate with star, and continues to run fine now, back to normal... no parts replacement

so after they told it to move using STAR, it is no longer sticking? if so that's good to hear.

yeah basically, i suggested replacing the adjuster solenoids ($600 parts and labor), but was advised that would be a waste of money...
been driving her all day, runs like nothing ever happened
its time to invest in Star for myself

Seems like the season for this problem!
Just had a similar experience, but turned out to be the #6 coil pack causing all the problems.
Damn terrible feeling when it starts doing this - visions of expensive problems right away!
