Odd door handle problem
*pleeeeeze* don't tell me I need a new latch assy. I do not see a way to get the damn thing out. Anyway, twice in the last few days, trying to open the door while the car is running and doors locked has resulted in the inside door handle shedding the actuator cable, and the door latch refuses to let the door close. After fussing with it for 10 -15 minutes, the solenoid will make a loud click and reset.. or something.. and then at least the door will shut. I'll take the inner panel off again and reinstall the handle cable. What else? Graphite on the lock assy? Anyone else have this issue?
weill... In case anyone gives a rip or does get this problem I'll edit that problem is solved, the la5ch mechanism does not like having the cable to the inner door handle disengaged. I replaced a small busted piece of plastic inside the door panel. Job done.
