E55 Mysterious battery drain HELP
It's been a year now I've went through 2 alternators and 3 rear main batteries. My car has UNCOATED longtube headers and my mechanic says my headers are destroying my alternator(but how about the Dubai and Florida guys running longtubes lol). My car today before startup read 11.0 and then it barely started up and it went to 13.8. Something is draining it because if I leave it for a week it will die. If my alternator was shot the car wouldn't charge up to 13.8 instantly so Is it safe to debunk the whole longtube header burning headers theory? I have a programa lowering module/ DEPO E63 front headlights and rear lights but I never suspected they could cause such a drain. For a year I've also had no function from my dynamic seats except for heated seats. I have replaced my under hood battery near the cabin filter also when I first changed my alternator.

Pull the power to your heated seats and dynamic "stuff" if you want to put it to the test. They can cause power drain issues. Just make sure which plug is which as you will get a dealer level srs code if the seatbelt and occupant sensors as disconnected with the key fob in.

I haven't had to do it yet so I dunno. But I thought the established way to track down power draws is to first key everything off and then check fuses with a multi meter see whats gobbling up power?

I've checked all my fuses twice. Sadly no answer there all of them seemed healthy

He means to check the current running through each of the circuits when the car is "asleep" ie canbus is not active. The fuse boxes are a convenient place to check most of the major circuits in the car.
I have done the seat thing on the CLK but you would have to research the correct plugs to pull on the E-class or find the fuses they use. On the CLK there is a row of plugs under the front of both seats. I presume the E is the same but I haven't needed to look thankfully.

Still got the issues alen.,I have a feeling it's your lo module ..
Must be running all the time and not syncing off as it turns off with the ecu to sleep..
If you changed the volt reg, battery, alt, and aux ,this is the gremlin..

yeah man could be, but I know people complained about it in regards to it sitting for a weak, this drain was really aggressive but I totally agree with you. I'm thinking about getting a trickle charger and calling it a day. i also read that the 2004's have the bcm module issue I doubt the previous owner changed it, haven't heard from you in ages, hope all is well! I fixed that mischievous hiccup too lol it was really bad man, tony sent me another file smh all those headaches and all I took was one file haha

Also the constant running of the module, it's 100% happening because I know everyone who bought this module complained about it doing that and I see it that it stays on when the car is off but I didn't think it would draw that much power because they said it would be after a week if no driving that the car would suffer. Glad to hear all is well, chris is a crook man he deserves to go to jail, I wish I took him to court.. thanks for the setup man it's working like a charm just need to fixed the cooling issue but besides that I have no major issues so far just needs some fine tuning the cold starts when I drive it's kinda effy when it shifts into gear but once it's warm I have no issues
