How much is my car worth
#26
I should have clarified - I meant Mods / custom stereo. The carbon-fiber spoiler and other bits you have aren't helping you. Also the stereo could be McIntosh and it would STILL detract from the car's value.

Serious question, what is a flame tune? I saw the thread about it a while back before it got locked. Same theory as anti-lag on a turbocharged car?
Unfortunately your tints etc will be working against you. A lot of people would instantly pass it up. If it can be removed you should.

Yeah sadly i dont see ya getting more than 12500-14000. These arent exactly under huge demand they are great cars but their a mercedes ... that scares people right away. Maintence and parts etc etc and the age of the vehicle is another factor thats gunna make it hard to sell. I know of 3 e55s here in utah that have been on the market low mileage all under 90k an have been on there for 8+ monthes. You also have an 03 most try an avoid the first year model. An you being 16 thats gunna put a damper on it but you nay luck out i wish ya well on ur sell.

local market (far from you) has these for sale for $10.5k-$13K at the most. Actual sale price is likely in the 10 to 11 range. There are a couple E63s for sale between 15k and 18k, with full maintenance records and needing nothing.

like we say .... cant tell teens anything they know it all already .... lmfao .... sad cause we ALL tried to steer him clear explaining this is NOT a car for a kid. An now hes spent 12700 for the car, carbon spoiler, new head liner, new front grill, brakes, all the time at dealer having it diagnosed ( still dont get this since his dad is a master mb tech ud think he would want to help his kid ) having the car detailed paint corrected and the list goes on. So by now u have few grand into the car so ur break even is round 16000 but im sorry your gunna take a loss unless you can find some kid with money and no brain to take it off your hands. There are newer cheaper and better E55s around ur area and at that price point of what ur asking you could get a lower mileage newer E63. I think u need to suck it up admit you were wrong and just price it at 13000 an see how it goes .... if i were a betting man id still wager your gunna be sitting on it for a bit.

Quit ****ing acting like you guys were right, I had multiple people tell me I should flip it. There痴 nothing wrong with me owning it, I just really want to have a build car (clk). I enjoy the e55 and will wait with it for 5 months if I hate to I don稚 care. I知 asking how much it痴 worth, not for your ****ing opinions on my decision to sell it.
Now, how much is it worth

You've been too smart for every one else's advice thus far. I'm sure you can continue to ask others advice, ignore it knowing that you already know better anyways, and bang out a sale for that price in no time.

Nothing wrong with trying. Hope springs eternal. Just because people ask for 20k, doesn't mean they'll get it. Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's valuable. My car has a designo graphite color which is very rare, I've only seen a few other cars with that color, but it didn't cost me any more when buying it at the dealer because that's not a factor that adds any extra value. They just go by the book value. Look it up on Nadaguide.com. Book is 13k retail. As you're private party, book says anywhere from $6600-10k depending on condition, rough, average or clean. I'm not sure I'd call your car clean, most people prefer stock. Advice from people who aren't actually in the market for a car is pretty much useless. If you're hearing crickets, it's overpriced, if your phone rings off the hook, it's priced too low. Based on book value, it's probably the former, not the later.

Whats it worth well in the condition u have it in .... meaning it needs a 2000+ dollar SBC motor replaced .... ur looking at according to kelly blue book low is round 8800 in good condition too 9945 in excellent ... now high is 13000 in good too 14200 in excellent. Your car is far from excellent then factor in urs needs an SBC motor which i hope your planning on informing the potential buyer ... unless ur one of those types. So ur gunna have to knock off for that repair which is not cheap. So realistically ur looking at 10 to 12k for your car the way it sits. I know its a hard pill to swallow but its true u may be able to find someone that will pay your asking price .... but quit getting ur panties in a bunch when people tell you what you dont want to hear. Besides u already have your mind made up so why the hell are you asking us anyway.

You should list it for $15k, be happy if you get $13k. Unfortunately I do have some recommendations... ditch the CF lip, remove the taillight tint, buy an OEM stereo and put it in, replace the dash panels from the speaker hack job, and take off all that fugly stick-on wood trim. If you do all of those things you car will be MUCH more appealing and I'd imagine it will cost you only slightly more than the $$$ you get from selling your front lip.
Let's face the reality -- you made a mistake. Should've just bought a CLK55 from the start. Now yes, sometimes you can get lucky and can come out unscathed. But most times, you're going to get burned. You added an owner to the car, you added miles, and you expect to come out on top?

Simply put, he is asking for way more than his car is worth. Do you want to do the same? What's wrong with trying you ask? There's actually lots wrong with it. Economics 102 will teach you that the best selling item [house, car etc] is the one priced correct for the market. Asking too high will ward off buyers and the longer it sits, the more you're willing to drop the price and the less appeal it has to new buyers.

Well since you don't like hearing anything from "old fart bags," here is some advice from a person that is younger than 30. You won't be able to sell your car for any more than 12k. It is an 03 (the first and worst year), it is distastefully modified, and is owned by a 17 year old.
I also personally do not understand the appeal of buying a CLK55 and ricing it out, but to each their own.
