Trunk wont open 2004 E55
Need helo trying to get into my trunk. The switch on door dont work. When i put the key in the trunk the handle is hard like in a lick position and wont open. I took apart the backing unbolted the handle to pull on the cord but the cord is hard to pull. It feels like a perminate lock how can i get into my trunk?

I know that as these older E55 and E63 age, the wiring loom that mounts in the trunk hinge getting brittle, and often breaks. Causing the wires to sever. And the single from the door panel never reaches the motor that opens and closes the trunk. That is what happen to my 07 E63.
