Reasonable Price for Weistec Billet Pulleys (M156)?

I'm on a mission to get rid of annoying noises from the engine compartment on my E63. In doing so, I started looking into the Weistec pulleys and see them MSRP'd at $550.

Searching around, I'm finding distributors selling for as low as $399. It seems like at one time, from looking at past posts, they were going for $299.

Were there multiple revisions of these? What's the going rate for these nowadays and are there any comparatively priced alternatives?

Looking to get a set of these soonish, but don't want to pay what I don't have to. Thanks!

Unless you must have billet and are keeping the car for another 100k or more, why not just get a set from fcp euro (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...t-gates-517045) at half the price?
I am planning on doing this this week, hopefully I can do it without having to remove the radiator fan.

I just installed set of Weistec pulleys this weekend, I ended up having an extra left over pulley. Anyhow; I was going to buy the ebay type set but wanted to get a set that I didn't need to worry about. I PMd Weistec before buying them, I asked about a forum discount. I didn't hear back and called then and found out there is no such discount but a week or so afterwards I got a reply and they do offer one to us. I'd email sales@ and ask.

Like all the products they carry, its first class. The parts are well made, serviceable and although it says in the online directions to use your old hardware...it does come with new hardware. One of the pulleys have a different design, not sure why but it has a lip to keep the belt from slipping or keeps it aligned, not sure why. I just finished doing headbolts and waiting for MBHmidpipes so I haven't started the car, but I suspect the pulleys have no issues.

It turns out, to get the tensioner pulley off, radiator fan would likely have to come out first.
For now, noisy pulley was only the top left one so replaced both top ones, literally took less than 10 minutes, good luck with yours.

Yes, the fan and shroud need to come out, then it is a easy job. Remove all the bolts from the bar in front of radiator and take the metal cover off the top of radiator and then its easy enough to figure it out. Probably easier to use a buddy to help with one side.
