They are not currently for sale to anyone but testers. We don't like to release products until they are tested. You can tune for the bypass delete. The alternative to sealing it is welding your factory bypass shut. Although that is not reversible like our product.

Yeah haha. I have no experience with it though, just what I've gathered from others. DTK wasn't selling or advertising anything he sells though when he told me that I was just trying to get info. Downside is fuel economy takes a dump. I couldn't get any numbers haha. ECE said they didnt want to speculate because there are too many factors and the guys that have done it would only tell me fuel economy goes down "alot" haha.

So benefits would be lower rpm for the supercharger to achieve the same boost which would mean lower IAT's as well and more consistent boost? 3psi is quite a lot, I can't imagine you would want anything other than stock pulley's?

For folks like myself and likely C32 living in the car racing cursed lands of altitude we will take anything we can get. I run 8 psi with a 72MM fixed right now (LTH and manifold crossovers keep it down a little lower also). But would definetly throw this sucker on to compliment my 72mm haha.

For possibly the first time ever, guys install this and will be reversing their pulley setups to take away boost lol

If you blocked it off and switched to a bigger SC pulley so that you ended up with the overall same boost, yes.

Yeah I am pretty excited for it, I'll definetly try blocking it off at some point but I believe you need a clutched pulley when blocking off so I'll have to sort that out. If the price ends up being less than a used bypass valve off ebay plus a little bit of fab work for my shop to seal it up I'll get ECEs (ECE I hope you're listening ) Otherwise I'll definetly snag a used one, weld it, and give that a shot!

Well i am wondering what ya do so that you dont get a code for the bypass not being plugged in. I also am plagued with the high altitude blues and lower than normal boost.

1990 300ce supercharged and intercooled
The bypass valve is not a blow off valve. If you remove it it will not blow up your car. It also has nothing to do with the clutch being required. PD Supercharges did not have them at all until about maybe 20 years ago now. It was all over the superchargers websites that you would gain 1 mpg at cruise. When you lift off the gas pedal the throttle body closes and the engine and the supercharger can not get any air. There is no boost spike. This is totally different than a Centrifugal supercharger that pushes air against the throttle plate. Then when it closes you must dump the boost with a blow off valve or recirc valve. The clutch and the bypass is for idle noise and emissions.

Found some very old info on the subject browsing. What a surprise, whipplem104 was involved in the same discussion 10 years ago haha. Veteran for sure.

I couldn't find where that boost graph came from but that is it shows just over 3 psi increase!

Well i get 8.5 psi with a 76mm at 4500 ft above with longtubes no cats an full exhaust. Ill be installing a bypass valve plug and seeing what happens. I still have a clutched pulley so thats not a concern but i will be able to see if there is any benefit to it but ill love it if i even get up to 10psi or even better response as ive heard it also provides.

Please do keep us posted bud. I'm 1000ft higher up in the sky than you and could really do with the added boost too.

This makes me want to improve the seal in my bypass. Some seals on the shaft, maybe a rubber lip for the butterfly. A little added restriction shouldn't matter. That would be the best of both worlds. I have a spare to experiment with, unfortunately no time. Maybe next winter.
