Q: E63 engine performance tune
I know it's been kicked to dead and - "use search button" , I know that as well. Still I like to ask a few questions and get answers from experience people.
Note* I don't use this car as everyday car. It has 70,000 miles, and all service was done recently .
1. What is best? and would not kill an engine, transmission, or any other components eventually.
2. Is it really worth it on E63 engine ,since it's naturally aspirated engine.
3. Transmission could be out of sequence vs engine power and torque curve, as many tunes do that.
4. Long run report : Like, Dislike, I would NEVER do that again ..,.......Love it (it should be like this from factory)
5. Price vs power and reliability
6. Real time experience
Thanks

I'm happy with my Eurocharged tune. I paid $750 for the tune and handheld, I'm not sure if I'd feel the same paying full price. It felt like it gained a bit of power from the butt dyno and the throttle response was much better. I haven't had the car dyno'd to see what it's putting out.

My car with a Eurocharged tune and MBH long tubes only made 25 more whp then a bone stock CLS63. Quite disappointing, but I do see some people make good power with tune and headers.

I have no M156 experience but I do have some NA M113 experience and even though the tune for that engine only gave you like 5hp near redline, the low down torque increase was immense.
I would have a look at "under the curve" dyno results before deciding. You are not driving everywhere at 6000rpm. The ones I have seen of the E63 are not overly impressive especially considering the price.

How is Eurocharged feeling on comfort mode? I can say that is a E63 is little "slow" (reaction) on comfort mode, when it cruising at constant speed, than push a gas so it takes a second before downshift, even it downshifting to wrong gear, meaning it goes lower gear than I would like, and than makes insane (less controllable than I would like) acceleration, if it makes any sense.
I would like a little better response on comfort, may be little more torque at lower rpm around 2,000-2,500 I don't want to drive constantly on sport mode it's too aggressive for the normal cruising drive, but a very fun.

No idea. I only use comfort mode when my g/f is with me and and I'm driving mellow then. I keep it in sport the rest of the time.
It does take too long when getting on it in sport sometimes. I blame that on the ****ty transmission. I'd love to have a manual in the car.

Before the latest v7 tune you would get some results but with the new v7 tune you really feel the difference all around. If you want to get the most out of the tune spend the extra few dollars and get a custom dyno tune with Jerry and this way you’re sure to have the car dialed in. The drivability is great, matter a fact the other day i filled the tank and got 370 miles out of it and still had the occasional/accidental WOT runs lol. I sometimes wish i could snap my fingers and the car be stock and quiet again but most of the times that power and sound brings more smiles than frowns
