Crankshaft install question
has anyone had this repair done? Ill have to have a shop do it, I have no reference for what it"potentially" could cost parts/labor wise.
Any insights would be helpful
Many Thanks

Its the woodruff key that sheared off due to a loosening bolt probably from the previous owners sub par install scoring the snout. I did the whole repair of snout based of of these forums filling in the scoring with jb weld and smoothing it all out. I then applied a new key with jb weld and an aircraft grade loctite product that has 4000Lbs sheer strength. I believe there is just to much damage to the snout so even with my repair, there is probably microscopic play between the snout and dampener slip fit. and I think micro vibrations loosened my bolt "again" over time.. this is the third time now this has happened in 8 months and believe would continue to even though I have it torqued to 300 Lbs.
unless I can weld the dampener to the snout.. but that would see a bit of a botch fix??
