SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG

I am about to order an E55 and would like ask a few questions about what is available to add to the base car.
I have seen several E55 that seen to have larger wheel and tire combinations than are available from the factory. Are these dealer installed options or can they come from AMG with them already.
What do you all think about the AMG wheels? Are any of them chromed?
Does the E55 come with Continenental tires or can Michelins be substituted?
Is the new 7 speed transmission going to be in one with a July build date?
When does MB change the model year? Sept? Oct?
Thanks for the help

The E55 only comes with split spoke 18" AMG wheels. If you saw them with bigger ones, it was aftermarket.
The E55 only comes with Continental tires.
No 7 speed trannies for AMG cars for 05.
The 05's will probably be in around August.

AMG does make a 19' wheel for the new E55. They recommend 275/30/19 (stock rear 265) rears and 245/35/19 fronts.
You can not order them with the car, but can order them from Tire Rack. You can use your stock 18' wheels for snow tires in the winter if you live in cold climate area.
The car has a much better road feel to it, but still very comfortable in C mode. When in Sport 2, the car reminds me more of my Porsche.
Hope this helps!
