Installed new parking brake shoes and when I removed the shoe I heard a ratcheting noise. I didn't think anything of it until I went to reinstalled the cable and to my dismay...the cable has pulled in and I cannot pull it out to put the pin in. Does anyone know how in the world you get to the 'auto tensioner' to release it? I see on other chassis there is an inspection plate under the rear seats but apparently on my E63 it doesn't exist.

Any help would be appreciated.
