Forgestar F14 weight vs Stock Wheel weight?
Just curious what the weight difference is, fronts and backs for the F14s and the stock wheels?
Also, what are the widths of the stock front wheels and rear wheels? 18x8 and 18x9 inches, respectively?
Will there be issues running 18x8 fronts 18x9.5 rear F14s in the rear and running 245/285 or 295, respectively? Would I still save weight going from 265 rear to 285/295 rear with the Forgestars?
Thank you

Im running the 18 F14s in 8.5 and 9.5.. Not sure of the exact weights, but they are considerably lighter.. I have 245 and 275s.. Pretty good wheel considering the cost.

cornfed gtr and m3
18" Forgestars will be a lot lighter then stock wheels. Most likely will not notice any increase/decrease in acceleration, but the car might feel a bit lighter on its feet.
I would think you would be able to run 285s without any issue. Definitely want to see pictures when you have her done!!

I know its not an E55, but this should give you some good information to look at.

Here is a good writeup by superlubricity: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-2010-c63.html
A couple of points worth mentioning, if you order them for an E today, they will be rated for 1520lbs, not 1200lbs as in the write up. Also the wheels in the write up had a high offset, ie. more material machined off the hub face. My F14s, in the same size, weighed a couple lbs more than his and I attribute those two factors.
Last, I would try to purchase them from a vendor who has them in stock, or used. I had a horrible experience with my order and it took over 5 months to correct the issues.

Beat you to it bro.. ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Now that I think of it, you should just get 19s.. There is a sponsor thats got a set ready to ship.. You really wont notice the weight savings, and the 19s are probably lighter than the stock 18s.

These wheels have been out for a number of years now and I'm sure many people have been running them.
I'm sure I know the answer to this, but I'd like to hear first-hand experience from those whom have fitted these wheels and been able to translate the weight savings into improved acceleration.
