Help! Does anyone know how to get the
trim pieces on the rear bumper off? I mean the pieces that have the "chrome" trim strip on them. I need to get the center piece off so that I can repaint it. Thanks!!

On the W210 it is a lot easier to remove the trim if you take the bumper off first. You can get it off with a plastic wedge from the outside, but I would be concerned with breaking the tabs.

Again, the bumper comes off differently on an estate vs. a sedan. I recently replaced a rear AMG bumper in SoCal on a wagon. There were about 5 bolts on the inside under the floor, and two in the fender wells.
The Mercedes WIS information stated that after the bolts are removed, to pull the bumper rearward forcefully. Go figure!
