Happy Father’s Day!

Hopefully everyone spent some time with dad today or at least remembered the good times spent with him in the past.

busy trying to keep up with you. Got my spray cans of alumi blast and wrinkle. I’m prepping to install meth and 92 TB in conjunction; hence “while I’m in there” can’t wait to finish and enjoy. But my SGA valve body is being shipped so that’ll be my last hoorah I hope! Well maybe a dyno retune and that’s it!!!!

Lol. You have already bypassed me! Glad you got your detail paints! It makes all the difference when everything is clean and detailed. Damn 92 tb!!?? Badass!

Start up a new thread of your build on your car!!! We need more mod/build/rebuild/clean up/ threads like years ago! I’m tired of reading about headers, mufflers and headbolts, steering wheels and carbon fiber. Hahahaha.

Hell you know I’ll comment on it and motivate you to “get s h i t done” even if no one else will!! But it looks like you are motivated.

yea it’s fun to DIY your mods, got the meth pump and washer tank prepped and installed. Just need to plumb em up and tap nozzles. It’s a Top Secret build cause I’m hiding from the wife, she hates to see me work on my car.

Here’s my pod holder I built! Still tweaking em but it’s not bad got a couple PVC pipes.

Start your thread and post the progress. Also show how you are doing everything. I’ll follow along as you go through it. Stuff like this will help others with their projects.....like me.
My son and I were just talking the other day about the A pillar gauge pods.

I also started the CLK55 project and may need some ideas.

I can pick you up some A pillar to do pods with. Let me know. I ordered a hide of suede and wrapped em to match. Pretty easy, looking at ways to secure pods down to pillar.

Thanks for the offer. I will let you know when I need one. I will text you one day soon to see where you got the material to cover it or any name or part numbers for it.

Securing the pods? They look mounted?

Pod holders mounted with a nail running across and zip tied down to a pillar. Lol, thinking of a more secure way.

so anyway, I attempted to copy your surge tank and it didn’t turn out as well as yours. However, completed installing meth, 92TB, & BBV. She running nice with a big attitude!

The alumiblast worked out well!

I think I’ve found some pod holders that can be made to work. I’ll work on those later.

Your engine detail turned out nice! I like the Alumiblast it looks good and doesn’t smudge/rub off like a lot of silver colors.

WOW! You’ve been busy with the mods. Now I know why you haven’t been around in a while. Lol. Your car should be haulin it now! I bet it feels great!

Thanks! Now if it will quit raining everyday I can drive it! Lol.

Start that thread and tells us what you’ve been up to on the E!
Im interested also on how well the SGA VB is going to do and how you like it. That might be something we do for the ClK.

My son has recently been doing a little Recon on his E55. Taking care of some maintenance and adding more mods for power. We plan to disassemble his car and refinish the outside and take care of a few things inside also.

We were messing around one day at the shop and decided to bolt up the drag wheels just to see how they fit. He runs 20 in. Vossens daily.

16 in CLK wheels rear. With Hoosier DR 255/50-16 tires. 18 in E55 spare wheels front with M&H Racemaster 185/50-18 tires.

I’ll make a thread later on his progress but for now here is the recent mod from Race IQ.
Cold start up so give a few seconds to idle down.

Where those cams dynoed before and after? They sound like they bleed off a lot of low end torque.

Alright James. The spacers I have are 17mm. I didn’t choose that size, when I bought my drag set up from a member here that is what he was using. My son bought a set of 15mm spacers to use with his drag set up. I’m not sure if he has mounted his wheels w/spacers on his car yet. That picture of his car has my CLK wheels and 17mm spacers. So I don’t know how the 15mm clears. I text him but haven’t heard back from him yet. (He leaves in another city)

I’m certain there are old threads That state what people were using years ago with them. Or someone else now I’m sure may know.

No dyno before or after. He recently installed them and really hasn’t driven it much either. His car is also running a Weistec SC.

That's some serious attention to detail - was a pleasure looking through this. Makes me want to get out and sort my car out some and you gave me some very good ideas too.

Awesome stuff!

I like the detail part of putting the cars back together for sure. That’s the fun part after all the hard repairs have been done! I’m glad you enjoyed the write up and got some ideas that you could use!

Thanks for checking out the progress!
