Can you check the oil level using the instrument cluster? Just a guess, but maybe it lost too much oil and won't let itself start?

I had a power steering hose explode on my last AMG and months later transmission fluid line explode. Both times covered everything. Nothing worked, lots of codes until engine steam cleaned.

Sounds like you have clogged the contacts in the starter motor, dont forget its only an electronic motor so oil will stop it from working if its got inside.

yah caught your PM, thanks for the advice
job seems fairly involved though with exhaust and motor mount having to come out. I’m under a full house renovation right now so car problems are really a nuisance right now

with motor mount and exhaust half out I was thinking headers too lol

Goes out through the bottom. Nothing comes out. Unless the E is substantially different than the CLS, which I doubt.

I believe its the oil level sensor telling the ECU that the oil level is too low to safely run the car, therefore it will not run until the oil level is full.

I was only down a quart, filled up & still no start
It has to be the starter or something closely related
Yesterday car would not start, but after rolling a few feet it fired up
