I'll check my door jam later today when I work on my E63. Honestly recall seeing 42psi front and 45psi rear, but will double check to confirm.

This is exactly what my E63 states and what I run. I figured it’s a heavy car so the pressures aren’t unreasonable.

just revisiting this with an update.

turned out the wrong profile size tyres were fitted to my front rims. 245/30 instead of 245/35 so the tyre was stretched onto the rim which was exposing the inner edge to wear due to camber. very frustrating that i didn't realise till i had ruined two sets of tyres and that none of the tyre shops nor the wheel aligner had picked up the problem. now have 245/35 fitted which look so much better on the rims. i'm still offloading the 20" though as they're terrible to live with on poor quality rural roads.

I run 245/30-20 in the front of my car. Haven't had any issues. Different tire brands and models do have different "actual" size and shapes. I recently swapped out the below set of tires by accident to 255/30-20 and 285/30-20 Sumitomo HTR III's and the 255's in front in different brand and model seem to look like they have a shorter side wall than my previous 245 tires. This was the case until I properly inflated the tires to a higher pressure. Probably because the V12's have a twice as thick sidewall. The V12's rears were due for a change and the fronts had 30% left so swapped out all 4. The V12's hide low pressure very well due to the double thickness sidewall. the HTR's do not which also can be a concern if driving around on low pressure for an extended period of time.

Sizes Ordered:
Size & Description
245/30ZR-20 HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 XL
285/30ZR-20 HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 XL

yes the different brands all have different carcass widths. they also have different characteristics when it comes to stiffness of the sidewalls. with my 245/20 you could see the bead of the tyre was not really set into the lip of the rim properly. quite possible they were a narrow carcass tyre. i cannot recall if that was the case with the set that wore the same prior to these though? both were cheap tyres. next time i will be investing in better tyres

IMHO I always thought that 19" was the optimal size wheels for either a E55 or E63. As you still have a decent side wall height off the rim, compared to 20"
And you have a better looking wheel as compared to 18" Yesterday at Burger King, there was a guy with a BMW 7 Series with 22" wheels.
He is just one pothole away from possibly buying a new wheel and tire.

well the 20's will soon no longer be my problem. today i arranged a swap with a guy for a set of AMG optional rims from a 2012 E500. yes they aren't perfect for my car, but they will do temporarily till i save and buy some 19's in a style i like.
