E500 more fun to drive than E55? Nah, I don't think so.

These are exactly the kinds of discussions that I have followed on here for the past couple months that had me this close to not going thru with my E55 purchase. Boy... am i glad I didnt listen.. this is one fine car!!! Bear in mind that I dont take the car to the track and race it... but if I wanted to race a car.... I'd buy a race car not a 4 door sedan with all the "stuff" this car has on it. I was starting to get the idea that all the E55 had was lots of power and torque.. handled like a truck and steered badly and OMG those horrible brakes! Nothing could be further from the truth in describing this car. We own a C5 corvette and an 04 BMW M3... the E55 isnt either of those... and am I glad. The E55 has far exceeded my expectations after 1200 miles... I'll let you know if my perception of it changes.

Looks like Dr. Chill is up to his old tricks again. Always pissing someone off. Ha Ha

Whats next...making fun of Stiggs because he got a CLK55!!! Hey wait!!!

Give'm hell Dr Chill. I agree...who would want a regular old benz when you can get an AMG. Anyone who says otherwise is just too "poor" to get the AMG.

You try buying a SL500 about two years back this same time period. That's right, it's a waiting list.. at least down here in Texas

Even worse for the 55! So we just skipped that and paid the black.

Thanks, I'm not sure if I should remove it or not because this is a family forum. But then again, it's not that hard to disable displaying of avatars in the USER CP.
