2003 e55, 2014 e63s wagon, 997 911.
I have custom long tubes, no cats, no resonators, X pipe and then magnaflows with with the stock tips. Sounds great. At cold start it crackles and pops until the idle calms down and then it’s relatively quiet, just a deep, nice tone. It did set off another cars alarm last time I had it at the dealers indoor service check in area, LOL. WOT is a whole nother story, sounds incredible, It’s loud but not overbearing. Sort of hard to explain really it’s just a nice clean loud sound but remarkably inside the car is pretty quiet. You only get some drone if it’s in fifth gear and you’re only going around 50 otherwise it’s really really clean. I get compliments from the Corvette guys all the time.

I have some C63 mufflers if you are interested. They are like new. I know a lot of people said previously it did not change much. I am not sure I just have these from my C63 after replacing with AP.

[left]After a week, love the C63 mufflers but they sound like the e55 stock and now considering to remove resonators. What size X-Pipe do I need to purchase? 2.5” and what does an X-Pipe really do? Is it really necessary? Thanks guys and it was great to meet up with Jerry and see his super clean 05 Silver e55 and hear his Carlson exhaust tonight. He got an amazing deal on his amazing car and I learned a lot about his mods and definitely considering some engine and trans upgrades now. Thank you to the forum. If anyone wants any photos or videos, let me know and I now figured it out.
