*HELP* E55 AMG whining noise
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum as I just bought my first Mercedes (2004 E55 AMG) a couple weeks ago.
I've been trying to figure out this whining noise that I can't pinpoint but does not really sound like it's coming from the front of the vehicle (engine). I could be wrong but it sounds like its from the middle or rear.
This whine happens during hard acceleration like over 60% input and gets louder the further I put the pedal down.
At first I thought it may be low diff fluid as the car has 125k miles and I didn't get a service record for that so I replaced the fluid and no luck.
It's so loud that if you're driving behind it you can hear it from a couple hundred of feet away
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I had that loud whining under hard acceleration, Made her get out and walk. Pull your SC belt off and spin it by hand. Should be smooth and quiet. Also there is a bearing in the middle of the drive shaft you could check.

Update: pulleys seem to be fine and spinning without any squeaking noises. I noticed the supercharger belt was sitting funny on the crank pulley so I moved the grooves over to match. Hopefully that solves the issue but currently the exhaust is taken apart due to crack in the manifold so I'm waiting for parts and will give another update early next week when it is drivable. Thanks to those who replied!
