e55 trans trouble

So, I just bought a 2001 E55 with 201k miles on it for $1,500 from our dealership. Because no one is sure what is wrong, we do alot of used. So I have had some slight experience with the 722.6. The car is stuck in limp mode, even after clearning the computers. I changed the fluid and the conductor plate and it still is not shifting. The code it has now is P0748 and its saying the Y3/6Y1 solenoid is is bad, but it passes when you do a solenoid test. Also I don't think this solinoid controls shifting. Next the Shifter indicator is messed up, wont say what gear you are in. am I correct in my assumtion that means I have to replace the center shjifter?
it did have the leaking conductor connector, that got cleaned up and replaced as, well.

When I installed the connector, I used a boriscope during install to make sure I didnt bend anything.

is it a straight swap or do I need to program it?
