Tutorial on WSM?
Does anyone have or can anyone make a clear vid on some of the more detailed ways to use the disk-based workshop manuals?
I may be missing something in the way you get to the actual part of the WSM where it gives detailed directions with pictures. There is a large amount of superfluous clicks and check boxes that really muddy the waters.

It is quite a convoluted process to find things in WIS. I learnt just by experimenting with it. Once you put your VIN in, spend some time trying the search feature and clicking through the sub-systems and you will work out how to show the things you need and navigate more efficiently. It isn't hard, it's just stupid.

The WSM are ment for folks who have experience with MB car systems and its obvious that you may need some study on your cars systems before you preform an operation

Lol. The application itself is substandard - not the person using it or the individual's knowledge of the underlying technology of the car. Way to act like a developer who rarely comes out of a cave to have a snickers.
. Chevy, Porsche, Ford, - and several others have much better organized and designed applications for WSM use. Nothing of the sort if obvious, and a hearty **** you very much.

Don't worry about him, 90% of his posts are snooty rubbish. He has lots of thanks but I rarely see any of that helpful information displayed in the E55 section. You are right, it would be hard to make a worse system. Japanese manufacturers usually provide a full pdf repair manual, much easier to use.

While the 40 year old manual for a 1978 Porsche 928 is a bit light on some of the wiring, it is 4 times more useful than the MB WSM.
