does anybody know which is the better handling car and how different are they. which is the favorite in the Twisties.

CLK63 would be much better. It has normal coilovers, not sure if the regular one or the black series was the one with kW v3 as stock. It is also lighter and smaller with better power to weight not that that would have an impact on handling. I haven't actually driven one though, only the w209 55.

ha ha ha I believe the CLK63 is a little faster and possible more nimble
But in truth you have to just enjoy both as they are awesome cars

If that is directed at my comment, my "much better" statement is only alluding to their handling characteristics. I would prefer the E over the CLK any day.

Hard as rock suspension and I am pretty sure they have no back seats... not for me. I would take an SL amg anytime though.

Aren't all CLK63 convertibles except the BS? I doubt anyone is cross-shopping the BS to an E63....

In that case I am not sure which is better, but I would guess the E63 > CLK63.

No really guys, both are awesome to drive and explore any roads.
My E63 makes me smile everytime, Wavetrac helps with that.
The CLK63 is mainly a specific drive car when no bad weather is expected and is quick as required.
AMG brings on the fun

Hardtop is available in rest of the world markets for the regular CLK63. Only north America has convertible only.

Are you guys talking about just handling as the thread is about or overall experience?

i was just curious for all opinions and comments myself. i just kept thinking...i love my E63, but if I wanted a coupe would the CLK63 make me just as happy if that were ever the option. i have too many cars btw and this is just a pipe dream of what if's.

As stated the CLK63 convertible is a good car with specific driving, weather must be warm and no rain ha ha
My E63 is my favorite, but the convertible is a fun car for sure.
Just love that M156 engine, no matter of what anybody tries to dampen the air with failures.
No issues with either other than AC pump in my E
