Coilover conversion
The time has come where i have finally had enough of the problematic i mean airmatic system and im ordering parts to convert. I am going with the BC Racing kit. Now with the rear control arms im coming across a couple different ones and would like to know which one i need. The car is a 2003 e55.
Vrp has theres for 385 but i came across some from rock auto that are much cheaper. The ones from rock auto are MEVOTECH CMS101159 and are about $50 each. Not that care about the cost but if i can save over $200 i would like to. Anyone tried them and they worked?

In this instance the labor is more expensive than the parts. If you plan on keeping the car for a while then I suggest sticking with OEM parts as they built to a higher standard. I ordered Mevotech for my Ford Escape but I ordered Lemforder for the E55.
If the ball joints/bushings fail on the Escape I'm out $200 for 2 tires, if they fail on the E55 it's more like $600 in tires.

Don't buy the Mevotech. Don't need to pay top dollar for Genuine but OEM or OE level manufacturers is what you should really be paying for.
We have a very helpful page to explain this part of the industry, check it out: https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/oe-academy
But even Genuine Mercedes is only $235 from us: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...mer-2113501806
EDIT: I should mention, Kyle knows about the conversion, I obviously got my kit from FCP Euro as well, so call 'em up and chat up. There's a couple extra pieces like spring shims and possible shorter bolts that you're going to want.

I used Bilstein hd shocks and Bilstein coilover sleeves in front with swift #1000. In the rear I used billstein hd shocks with #650 3 inch *10inch swift spings. I bought kw rear coilover purches for the back springs. I spent close to $1000 dollars on the setup and its a quality coilover.
