Oil CHange Question...
Got My Topsider Oil extractor, a Mann FIlter kit, and 9 quarts of M1 0W-40. Warmed engine for 5-10 minutes BTW, it was smoking a bit, should I be concerned? W210 E55 with 69K mi
The oil questioon is--when it came time to fill the oil again, it took 8.5 quarts and was still at 3/4 up the dipstick mark to full. I asssume the last 1/2 quart would have done it, however, knowing that this precision engineered machine is stated to take a capacity of 8 quarts, I am concerned.
My dipstick is not completely straight (no personal comments pleze =>),
could that result in a full 1 quart differential between actual and indicated?
any thoughts?
