E55 Presidential
I was at the local dealer today and they had a black E55 driven by the owner that they were trying to sale and when I aske how much the lady said $110,000 and I like to fell out on the floor (sorry but) laughing. I asked why so much and she said it was because it was a Presidential Edition. It sure was nice though but not that nice.

BTW, supposedly there were 7 E55 Presidential editions made for MB execs in the USA. They have carbon fiber trim instead of standard birdseye maple (~$5000 option normally) and they've been listed on E-Bay for less than $100K without any takers in the past.

How 'bout they take off the ghetto rims and drop the price $20,000....then I'd consider it.

I agree with the price drop and ghetto rims these guys here over price everything in my opinion that is why I ended up with an RS6.
i can't understand why the all knowing execs at DC would want to put 20's on a car with that much performance potential.
and, those are the worst wheels I think I've ever seen on a an e-class...
:o
That's a pretty contradictory statement don't you think... MB overprices everything, so you ended up with a considerably more expensive - slower - car. I bought my E55 at list price at got it last June.

I was talking about the local dealer not MB. The base price for the E55 is less but once you add options it comes out to be more than the Audi. The E55 I looked at did not have even all of the options and had been titled and then resold a week later back to the dealer. The dealer wanted 92,000 dollars for it. That was in September of 2003. They are wanting 110,000 dollars for a E55 that they claim is a "limited edition" but according to other posts that edition comes in two colors and black is not one of them.
The dealer comment is true - there are various dealers in the US that are trying to make the extra buck by mark-up, you just have to find one of the legit ones. I bought mine from a dealer in PA, pleasure to deal with. My salesman posts on this board - CME4BNZ - made the experience trouble free - and arranged the shipping of the car seamlessly.
i am positive the individual of that car has a backwards cap with baggy pants and says "yo yo yo where da homies at"?
