Yeah some serious friction happening here to get that hot

Looking to buy a CLS55/63
I had a UPD double idler make noise and they sent me a replacement pulley. After removing that silly and poorly designed belt wrap kit and re installing the double idler with the replacement pulley , I seen that the new pulley they sent was machined funny and had a wobble to it. So off came the belt wrap kit and sold it. Put the noisy idler pulley back on and have been dealing with the noise ever since. Recently my UPD supercharger pulley took a poop on me after contacting UPD they basically told me to pound sand and their warranty is 6 months. I had the pulley on the car 8 months and less than 3000 miles... I'll never again purchase a UPD product for this car.

As far as that belt wrap kit, it's really snake oil. It's not needed and does not do anything for you except side load your bearings with a non forgiving metal bracket.
