Do I Need More Cooling With Mods???
Need your inputs/recommendation, I have the following mods (see sig) with LTH & colder plugs pending install next week. Do I need more cooling? Or would my superflo, split cooling (BMW reserve) and HE enough? Current AIT/IAT is 95-100 steady cruising or 20* over ambient (give or take). Not planning on any other mods after LTH and not planning to run 1/4 track, just a casual daily rider down PCH.
BTW, just installed (DIY) 82mm TB and what a different!

The recommendations you're going to get are for a trunk/under hood tank, or meth, or both. 76mm is fairly aggressive. What matters is not your cruising IATs so much, because there's only a certain level of efficiency you're going to be able to achieve, but what your IATs reach under boost and the time it takes for them to recover.

Thanks so much for your recommendation! But is it nessary? I don’t do WOT that often and if I do, I usually let off after 3-5 sec after passing cars in the HOV lanes. I need to check recovery time, unfortunately my 5 y/o niece (love her to death) hogs my iPhone most of the time while I’m driving. More likely I’ll opt for the under hood tank eventually and hopefully it’ll be last mods.
Under hood tank, is it the same concept as the BMW reservoir but bigger?

It means you lose power. Happens in three stages. The first one starts at 95* The engine backs off timing to protect itself. Trunk tank is better in my opinion because the under hood tank deletes the cabin filter and the cabin filter is great. If you replace it every year the activated charcoal filters out exhaust smell and all manner of pollutants. A nice bit of luxury. It is more work to run the hoses for a trunk tank, but you also get more volume.

Actually your IAT's should drop with those new mods, especially the LTH's. Less restriction and better flow is going to yield not only more power, but slightly lower boost. Boost=heat, so therefore less boost, better IAT's

thanks Worth the wait for your input, just got LTH delivered yesterday and can't wait to install! It's practical that less boost = less heat, I've heard LTH should lower boost, will monitor IATonce install. Gonna DIY so might take awhile...wish me luck.

I'm following legitstreetcar, Alex and went with cheap Chinese LTH. Can't get myself to spend 3G unless data showing legit major difference on brand name products. Plus, I ran into a shop owner who has five AMG including 2004 E55 & 2019 E63 that recommended the LTH to me, he also running same cheap Chinese on his E55. I figured WTH! Plus Christmas is coming.
I'd stay away from other Chinese product like control arms, ball joints, and motor mounts though; they REALLY sucks. I use Lemforder instead for the mentioned parts and the ride is awesome with Arnott rear air bags ($700 both) and one front reman air strut w/ADS ($432) the passenger side have MB air strut ($800). Arnott offer 10% military discount.
Are you running LTH?

Your cooling mods are more than sufficient for casual street brawling. Trackdays or 1/4 mile events will require further mods if you dont want the heatsoak pulling power. Track days need brake mods.

However, I think an under hood tank could be beneficial. It is essentially the same as the BMW res but a much larger capacity. Many people consider the BMW res to be okay at best, since it has such a tiny capacity and is sitting right there in the hot engine bay. You'll basically just notice much better recovery time, and maybe slightly lower cruising intake temps.

Now I wouldn't necessarily say that any of these are necessary, and especially not meth - not by a long shot.
