Hi Iv got an e55 and with 74mm fixed pulley. I keep shredding belts. I had a gatesk080525hd which came of and shredded. Am I putting the wrong size on there. Seems a nice tight fit when fitted.

Iv gone through 2 belts in 4 months. Everything is straight and runs true. Also have a brk on it aswell.

what is the best belt to go for.

Thanks for the reply. I did replace with a k080525hd and that lasted about a week before it came of. Is it because there not right enough.

You positive with the belt you’ve recommended does not need BWK? I hate my BWK so I’m asking/ verifying.

so with a k080496hd I should take my bwk of with a 74mm fixed pulley. Everything seems tight and all pulleys are good, no play ect. Iv only had the car 3 months and Iv ruined 4 belts. But when I bought the car it had a k080525hd so replaced it with same every time. You guys over the pond don’t rate the bwk. Can I ask why.

Plus im in uk so I always end up buying from USA so cost me a fortune in belts. £80gbp every time.

Also what does belt slip feel like in these cars. As I’m experiencing some strange jerky issues from below 2500rpm. Like the car is cutting out for a split second and then pulls like a train to redline.
