yep i got 23mpg (10.5l/100km) on a 600mile (1000km) road trip over the last couple of days and that included a couple of fun sections of road as well as the freeway runs...

Yep, I just got 22 mpg on a 3,500-mile trip from Boulder to LA, San Diego, Phoenix, Tucson, Santa Fe, and home, mostly at 80-85 and loaded (including city driving). The biggest surprise to me about the E55 is the decent fuel mileage. I had a 6.3 that averaged 15 mpg at the same speeds, and everyone thought that was good!

What about in daily commute, what's the real mpg difference between the C55 and the E55? 5 MPG?

Just depends on whats important to you. If you are buying a track car (Nurburgring or VIR) I'd say buy something else. If you luve in the mountains and you are choosing between the two I'd probably go with the C. If its a general dd with some highway and you enjoy putting the traffic behind you, the E55 is hard to beat. If you're a big guy or you like to carry passengers in comfort, again its the E. I've had my E55 for seven years and I smile every time that I leave the driveway.
