E55 is by no way the beast
the interesting thing is, that the SLK 55 has the same torque as the new M5, with less weight , this means *** spanking, last but not least , the looks will kill the M5 in standing still , this only is a WIN a championship win too , hehe

...I have a respect for 3 Cerman car manufactures Mercedes, BMW and AUDI...
When I was younger I had a C36AMG...
Then in 2001 bought an S500L Lorinser...
Last year I bought an M5 for a change and I absoulutely Love this CAR....Makes me want to go for a drive... and find someone I can race...
I am amased by the power of NEW E55AMG...I would love to get one those ....I will be selling my M5 soon and will get 2003 E55AMG....Both cars are great....E39 M5 is a bit old now...
Right now for me E55 AMG is the BEST Sports sedan on the market...I am willing to sacrifice some cornering ability for a more POWER....Anyways the races I've had were straight line or around the city....
Still dont understand this child...why he is posting to this forum.
..Every car enthusiast knows that BMW car are more sporty, Merc is more luxurious...Currently Merc has got the Crown....
There's your answer-He is an ignorant child. If we ignore him and don't respond to his posts, with his short attention span he will get bored and go away.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The were understated and classy, had a luxurious and/or sporty driver-oriented (interior), had performance, and a manual tranny.
The next M5 looks ugly and then some. The front side vents aren't even FUNCTIONAL! Talk about cheap! The interior is cheap and neither sporty nor luxurious. The next M5 isn't subtle or classy. Its V-10 may blow up like the current BMW M3's engine has done. V-10s aren't exactly smooth and sonorous. The engine doesn't even look good. It is just a big plastic air intake. The E55 AMG's engine has a hand-signed signature of the mechanic who built it. It won't be available with a manual tranny until later and, sadly, may not even come.
The E55 AMG is available in a wagon while an M5 Touring won't be made.
(AMG 65 models are pointless though. Why not get an Aston Martin DB9 or a 55 AMG instead?)
One thing I wish that E55 had was a ABC (active body control) like my S-class has...I like how the car performs in the corners...though 750i I had 2 years ago still performed better....
Other thing is bigger OEM tires at least 255 fronts and 275/285 back...
I like Porsches but I prefer to have more space and comfort....for me Cayenne is the best SUV on the market right now....BTW G-wagen is still the best off-road vehicle...So many times we went hunting in it....Sometimes it performed better then Hammer...cause it less heavy...
IMHO M5 or E55AMG except...estraight line race.....everything depends on the Driver...although on e39 m5....you still need to work hard to get the best of the 400Hp's...Merc is more easy....though love the m5's envolement...
So before we say anything about how new M5 perform....we need to wait unit it comes out....some E60 M5 figures do look impresive...like 507Hps and V10.....8500 rev limiter...7 SMG with 11 modes....promises 0-200 in mid 13.....Lets just wait and see....
But the fight will never end....if M5 will be faster in straight line....then E63Amg will even more faster...but BMW will still be better balanced car on the track...
All the best
porsche ,audi and vw were called autounion long time ago as 1 company, look at the audi rings ,,,, they were all a single company ........
But i still think the 7er is ugly though

And as far as the M5 goes it looks better then the regular 5 and only in dark colors. Plus I would like to see it in person before making the final decission. The numbers do look promising, but we will have to wait and see.

Profo-
You don't need to attack something because you have insecurities about your own ride
and don't make me pull out some history on the VW thing. I know you
Yes, I did see the photoshop pics of the RS6. Looks pretty good. Most likely I will be turning mine in at the end of the lease and getting the next verson.

THe rear seats on the Cayenne leave a lot to desiered, whenever we have small parties with my friends, we can easily pack almost twice and much stuff in my truck rather then his Cayenne S because of the more room I have in the back. Not sure if that's right on paper though because it does seem like it should have the same amount of room.

The E55 is one of the most beautiful sedans ever created, IMO. And for goodness sakes, how can u not love a car that keeps up with Ferraris
The E39 M5 is incredible and was or may still be considered the standard to many. But accelertion wise, it's not even close stock for stock.
The E60 M5, it looks like an ugly chic that got plastic surgery to try to make herself look better. The proportions and stance on the E60 are WRONG. Computers are not the solve all for these damn car designers. We've never had so many ugly cars before.
Sorry but more than anything, the E 55 IS the beast himself. Every other sedan is just trying to catch up.
