Ignition coil clips?

So when I bought my E and first started working on it I noticed most of the clips that connect the wiring to the ignition coils were broken but never had any issues. Today while driving I put my foot down and had the car bog down hard and run rough. Pulled over and found cylinder 8 unplugged. Any clever ideas to get them to stay or buy new clips?

Subd. You can get the connectors new , possibly able to de-pin them would be great if possible ? instead of splicing . A dab of rtv will stop them from coming off temp. fix

i thought about an adehisive - but then if I need to take them off for any reason it makes it tricky. And I’ll be doing the coil packs and plugs in the next year probably.

Mini zip ties, zipped around the wire to a slit that’s already in the coil pack.

All the clips on mine were brittle and broke off but they all stay in just fine. I zip tied the wires just like it was when I took them off.

I saw I have a couple zip ties still in tact but wasn’t sure it was all that helpful based on the placement of them. Will do! Thanks for the advice fellas.

Put them around the wires as close to the connector as possible and through the slot in the coil pack.

Does anyone know the part number for the connector? I went to local MB dealer and some auto parts store but no body sure what it is. MB parts shop calls it ignition coil plug but the picture in the diagram looks different. I'm not sure that the part I need. Thanks.

All 3 module not working now (i disconected right side, and car not start up on left side)

how could car damage coil packż maybe you need to check the wires and plugs, only way I could see damage is from some kind of short after the coil pack. the used packs you buy may have been bad Try get new maybe? If new breaks coz of car you can still return as faulty how will they know car did it?
