Hello all,

Apparently I was too aggressive with the E55 engine cover and the mesh and star basically blew apart on the silver wrap-around cover of my W211. There really is no chance of putting it back together and I know you can't buy the mesh and star separately. If anyone has a spare cover, I'll gladly pay for it. Secondly, I have seen some people add an AMG emblem, which I'm thinking of doing. Does anyone have a spare or a link where I can purchase one? The ones I see are too small to cover the hole. I know it's a larger size than the wheel center caps.

Check the dealer. I broke mine on my E63 (the cover snapped at one of the end mounts) and it was only $120ish for a new one.

 

I used an old wheel centre cap emblem on a previous AMG where the mesh was fine but the star was already missing. It looked ok, not perfect but most people wouldn't notice the difference.
