I got the SBC extended warranty, check your VINs if your car applies
Just thought I’d share some cool news. I got the extended warranty letter from mb, took it to the dealer and they covered my sbc repair changed the brake fluid on the power bleeder all free of charge.
I was expecting to have to pay for this repair someday so this was a pleasant surprise! Now go check your vins with any mb dealer, your sbc repair could be free.
that is goodness -- did you have a warning light on or just did this as preventative ?
Yes I got the light something about brakes. So I went to have brakes replaced and the dealer reminded me about the extended warranty. So about a week and half later car was done. I paid the brakes but the sbc and fluid exchange and power bleeder was done free.
People always rag the dealers but for normal repairs it’s worth it and prices don’t fluctuate that much over Indy plus the service and mb loaner car is ideal for me. A big job I would go to Indy for sure.

For the the warranty, Not sure. It doesn’t hurt to ask. But if the light comes on it doesn’t mean your stuck it just means hey take it in. Just my 2 cents. Take the road trip this car shouldn’t let you down. I’ve taken many road trips with the family in my E55 and it’s never let me down. Well made cars.
