Going to Install KC and Tank

After my last track session at fontana needless to say I was not happy with the results. Car was pulling a ton of timing and fell flat on its face. Im gonna do the KC and Tank route and call it a day on the cooling. I know what my IAT’s are as we speak but ill get some after the install for comparison and ill be sure to post some videos as well. I think it will allow me to run a smaller pulley and after the header i stall I’m hoping for 520ish at the wheels.

Very nice i will have my new trunk tank on tues so excited 7 gallons with the highest flowing pump on the market its a reprogrammed EMP. I have a custom single pass intercooler coming soon as well when its ready. This is mine he sent me a pic before he shipped it off. It will fit perfectly under the rear mat too.

Well i may not need my superflo cus the reprogrammed EMP is stupid strong an by leaving the superflo it may cause a restriction just waiting to hear back from the builder on how he wants me to route it an if i should keep it.

But the price isnt bad ive been saving up for all this stuff for almost a year i wish i could afford to do everything i want.

Yeah i figured if im going to do it ... do it once and do it right but credit has to go to Das for telling me to go with it. This is the pump that lingerfelter uses on all their high hp builds

These pics show just how insane it is

The reprogrammed emp pump is the best however it’s will be pulling crazy amounts of amps and will wear out your alternator and battery

i have seen it so rethink that pump on that premise alone

You'll be fine with that EMP. Just make sure you use a 8-10 gauge power and ground with a inline fuse. Over a handful E55s are running it including myself. We also have dual walbro 450s in fuel tanks that draw some good amount of amps. I personally have the second fuel pump staged with a hobb switch to lower the amp draw. Our stock 180 amp alternators are pretty strong. Been with the same alternator for 3 years in 110-120F weather in Vegas. I put around a 100 miles a week in it too. My friend Brian in Fort Lauderdale has the same set up and a KC on top. He's the one that made 715whp. David at Euorcharged has dual walbro 450s and an EMP pump in his E55 that gets driven a lot as well. Many of us have done it and continue to progress with the platform.

You are wrong

If this is a daily he will burn out the battery and alternator in no time with that running all the time

I daily mine mine as well. Sometimes I switch off to my truck. But I drive my E55 a lot more. I still haven't burnt mine out. Doesn't make me wrong. I just choose a different path. You're just stuck in my way or the highway mentally. If they want to go the extra mile and do something different with all the pros and cons listed to them. Let them, it's their choice. No need to be so negative when someone presents an idea. That's how the platform progresses by trial and error. Just like how we made a 102mm whipple throttle body to work.

So what?

congrats , what does it run?

or does dyno numbers make it for you?

what does your friend in Florida run

everyone loves the dyno

this platform uses lots of amperage as it is, just the suction fan itself can take lots of amperage, then all the electronics lol

my way or the highway? No but these are facts that he needs to be aware of, he can take it or leave it

He's took the whipple off and is doing a custom twin turbo build, custom manifold, etc. Hasn't hit the track yet. Once he's done building it he will.

The dyno is mostly just a tuning tool to see the progression of your vehicle's build.

David did crack a 9.7 though and he has around 160k plus miles on his car iirc. Same pumps as us. Congrats to him for breaking the world record. David will be going faster soon enough.

I do appreciate the warnings and am listening. I did also ask a few guys that have this pump an use their cars daily and tjey say theres no problems so far. Not to say there wont be but i even emailed Paul at PNRacing an he responded with there are 1000s of CTSVs using these pumps in their daiky driver with zero problems. Maybe i need to look at having a custom alt made just to be safe. But i appreciate all the thoughts and help. Das_it has been there an been nothing but helpful in guiding me to get the results im looking for.

Can’t make a custom alternator for this car as the electronics will freak out, been there done that

big difference between a V electronics system and the E55

No need for a custom higher amp alternator. The stock 180 amp alternator can support it.

I dont doubt you know ur stuff but i have talked to dave at ec, das_it, and the builder of my system that has sold 14 of these exact same setups to e55 owners and he hasnt had one have a failed battery or alt, and dave said it will be just fine.

Besides all that i already paid for it so now got to try haha. If it doesnt work well back to the drawing board with a new alt and battery .... good thing i can wk on my car an i have a spare alt lol.
