Dash Cam Install DIY?

Hey guys, wanted to ask if anybody may have had any experience installing a dash cam to the W211 chassis? I asked my local Mercedes repair shop to install my dash cam and they said they were not comfortable doing so.

Did it in both my 210 and 211 AMGs...There is a switched 12v in the overhead console/mirror harness..Tap into switched 12v with positive and mount ground near by..Its been a while since I did mine but it was easy...Hardest part was finding the 1 wire that was a switched 12v....I’ve had mine installed for about a year.Camera starts recording anytime ignition is on,,turns off with ignition off...

If you do this yourself, would you take pictures and write a DIY?
