My E63 Improvements

Early last month, after three weeks of installation I finally got my car back from Hurley's Auto Audio in McLean VA. They addressed my issues with the Harmon Kardon Audio system in my 07 E63.
I had all the speakers replaced with Focal speakers. Audison DSP was installed along with two Alpine Amplifiers and a 10" JL Audio subwoofer & enclosure was added.
Then a few weeks ago, I had all the dents and dings removed from my 07 E63, that I've accumulated over the last few years.
After that, I had a 4 wheel alignment done, which revealed the car needed some correcting to address the negative camber in the rear, since the car has been lowered.
Then last week, I had paint correction and ceramic coating done. This week, I've order and alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber keyless go shift knob, and carbon fiber interior trim.
I have spent a considerable amount of money, this year alone addressing all the things that bothered me. After, I get my interior trim installed, I need to address a ESP (Electronic Stability Program) CEL that was been popping up from time to time.
Then after that, buy two new Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires that have been wearing incorrectly due to the increased negative camber. Now the only foreseeable thing in the near future is an oil change. And that's is enough
Are you feeling OK? There are no pictures of your baby in this post!
In all seriousness, a “rejuvenation” is often needed every few years for people to fall back in love with their cars. Nothing wrong with that. Can’t wait to see pictures of all the upgrades installed.
I called Benz Elite just now to see if I could wait on engine/transmission mount installation.. but they told me I’d have to drop her off.
Unfortunately I live too far away for that so I’ll have to find a shop in Maryland!Cyrus

Brian's E55 has been there for a bit, getting his brakes, calipers painted and interior CF parts installed below.I swung past the shop yesterday to pick up Brian's interior parts, so that I can send them off to OCarbon for carbon fiber resurfacing. I just love Brian's interior carbon fiber.
The thing is with my stereo upgrades, you can't see anything, as everything is hidden away. You can see the subwoofer enclosure in the trunk, and the DSP controller in the ashtray compartment but that's it.
But I can't wait until my interior comes together.
I would like to fix the stereo, and supercharge mine. Its a nice car, just needs a few things. I already have the carbon bits and P030 package on mine. I do like the shift knob and one day fix the suede on the streering wheel. Who did the work on the wheel?

When you see something, you have to pounce on it. Sorry

And Semper Fi to you as well. What's your MOS? I was a 0369

But they did replace all the factory speakers, install the Audison DSP and Alpine Amps under the rear deck. I still retained the factory head unit and CD Changer. The only indication that anything was ever done to the car, would be the DSP Controller in the ashtray compartment and the subwoofer in the trunk.
And the fact that the car has a whole lot more thump. But I seen all the components wired up in the trunk, and you can see the new speaker through the speaker grills. But I dropped the ball as far as photos go. But the sound is awesome.
I'm never going back to stock, as this system sound quality is far superior to the factory system.

This has been something that the factory system lacked. Fortunately with the Audison DSP controlling the input from various sources, as well as the input signal and volume of the subwoofer, it's thumping. Believe me !!!
You have to have good amplifiers, subwoofer and enclosure to get the thumping bass. Sometimes I have to turn down, the input levels and volume from various sources such as SiriusXM, CD's and my iPod as they can be overwhelming.....meaning the Boom Boom.

Here are a few photos of the JL Audio W3 10” subwoofer and enclosure, this thing kicks like a mule. But also produces those low tones that the woofers can’t touch.

Optimal comes in the form of the aftermarket.
I now look forward to my rides to and from work.

So hopefully, I will get it today or tomorrow. If so, then I will have my shop mount it on the car along with my new rear tires this Friday. One step closer to realizing my dream.
Update, the core exchange shift knob arrived in CA and production on my Carbon Fiber Shift Knob has begun. The core exchange parts that "Worth the Wait" has so graciously donated made it to Arizona, as confirmed by OCarbon, now there going to start resurfacing the parts in Carbon Fiber. And hopefully within 3-4 weeks, I'll have all my parts in to assemble my interior the way I dreamed.

My new steering is still AWOL, no new updates from FedEx, but they did assigned a case working. I am hopeful that they find it, but a little apprehensive that they will.
I was hoping to have it mounted tomorrow, but that is on permanent hold for now.

I did add a few things over the weekend. Here is Larry getting ready to mount my new rear rubber from Continental.
And Brian gave me his old roof spoiler, because it doesn’t fit on his E55. At first I wasn’t going to mount it, it took me an hour to decide.
I couldn’t make up my dam mind. But looking at it now, I think I’ve made the right decision.
Custom Steering wheel update; It's still missing, lost at Dulles International Airport. Here's the thing, it flew into Memphis from Europe, had an arrival scan and then departure scan before leaving Memphis, then a arrival scan at Dulles.
But no departure scan, so it's obvious that it must still be there, as there isn't any scans saying that it departed. It's been missing for a week now. The seller is awaiting notification today, from the shipper with their final outcome.
The seller stated, that he will in fact commission Ledermanz to make and exact duplicate, and he will pay for it. Which is a good thing, it's the waiting around I don't like.

If you don't know about Ledermanz, click on this link. https://www.instagram.com/grigul_design/?hl=en He is the European Leader when it comes to customizing OEM steering wheels.
And there is no compromising on quality. These Steering wheels are built with quality products; leather, alcantara or carbon fiber. Their much more beefier (thicker) than stock.
And the price reflects the quality of the work. I would definitely recommend Ledermanz if your planning on upgrading.
