So they haven’t even shipped it yet to you? Also it seems you went through a middleman instead of directly to Ledermanz? I do see Ledermanz post on eBay often. Thanks for all the updates!

Fedex lost the dam thing somewhere at their facility at Dulles Airport. How I'll never know. Yes, I went thru a middleman and not directly with Ledermanz.
"Hello William. Just called Ledermanz. Replacement will be ready day after tomorrow He wants to know the exact year and model to ensure that your new steering wheel will fit as there are a few different wiring's for this type of steering wheel. Thank you Lev"
I'm hoping that the new wheel will be shipped out by Saturday, and I can take possession of it a week later.
Ledermanz makes some awesome steering wheels, the stitch work alone is awesome, and he can customize the stitching colors, color of the leather, etc. If you willing to spend the money.

Cool they easily took care of you! And thanks again for sharing the info. I want a new steering wheel bad; something these cars are missing.
I was just looking at Ledermanz portfolio, and dam they make some sweet steering wheels. Some of the BMW and Porsche wheels are awesome. I've even looked into cleaning solutions for Alcantara and Sonax makes some.
I'll purchase it from Amazon, after the wheel arrives. Oh, and I diagnosed my ESP (Electronic Stability Program) CEL, turns out to be a failing Stability Control Steering Angle Sensor, that's embedded inside the steering column.
Runs about $250-300 on average, will replace it once the wheel arrives, as it will be much cheaper since the wheel needs to come off anyway.
So I managed to locate a steering angle sensor on the cheap, at MB of Peoria for 1/2 the price that my local stealerships are asking. And the best part is that it only cost me $179 shipped.

"Hello William Just talked to Ledermanz shop manager. Your replacement steering wheel will be ready this afternoon. Regards Lev" And yesterday, I order a new Stability Control Steering Angle Sensor from MB of Peoria, for half the price of my local stealerships.
Latest update, my carbon fiber interior trim pieces are one step closer to completion.
Hey William,
Got the fabric wrapped on all the pieces, just waiting on some more epoxy from my supplier so we can start getting it wet out (should be here today or Monday).
I’ll get you some pictures shortly.
Well good news all around, I just spoke with Ivan at DCT Motorsports, my carbon fiber shift knob should be ready in two weeks hopefully. When it arrives, it will have the leather boot attached ready to install.
I also spoke with Lev, and he provided me with these photos from several days ago of my steering wheel at Ledermanz, not quite fully completed. But he also told me that it is booked for shipment to VA and should arrive next Wed/Thur.
F***ing outstanding, because i booked an appointment to have the new steering angle sensor installed, now the can mount the wheel. And my carbon trim is nearing completion as well. Big smiles all around
I just received good news from Lev (Seller), he's heading to Ledermanz in Riga Latvia. Once there he will forward me the tracking number of my new steering wheel.
I was hoping that it would arrive in time, so that I could also have it installed alongside my new steering angle sensor. Kill two birds with one stone.
But I don't see how it can make it from Latvia to VA by Thursday, in time for install on Friday.
To be totally honest, I wasn't looking to do much to the engine/suspension. My E63 already has a tune, smaller crank pulley and kleeman headers.
There isn't a whole lot that can be done to the M156 besides slapping a supercharger on it. The suspension is stock, although lowered by Star.
The body has had all dents/dings removed, paint correction done, ceramic coated and partial PPF installed.
My stereo issues have been addressed, and sounds awesome. Once my interior is complete, that will be it for me.
Yesterday I was making 100 mph runs from a dig, to clear her throat, and the girlfriend complained your going to get caught.
I had that addressed as well, with the passport 9500ci, that was installed years ago and still works like a charm with DB updates.
So I am really done after this. Enough money spent spent for this year.
As of today, my new replacement steering has been shipped from Latvia. I'm personally tracking it's progress.
And hopefully FedEx won't lose this one. I want to thank Ledermanz Grigul_Design, for taking on this quick turn around item, and keeping me informed along the way.
And I'm fortunate that Lev has such a good friend (Ledermanz), that would return early from vacation and take on this task, along with the many other steering wheel orders that are in progress.
It's just too bad that the new steering wheel won't arrive in time, to be installed this Friday. Since the old one must come off to install the new steering angle sensor.
Finally, the new steering wheel has arrived from Ledermanz, this time they insured it with 2 day priority mail. It was mailed on Wednesday July 31st and arrived today in time to be installed.
I had already purchased my steering angle sensor, and it didn't make sense to have to remove the steering wheel twice, so I decided to just wait until the new wheel arrived.
And FedEx dropped off my box, so off to Benz Elite Automotive I went. The new wheel is top quality, attention to detail was spot on. If anyone is interested in doing this to their E55 or E63, I highly recommend buying your new wheel from Ledermanz.
They painted the Mercedes Star in black chrome, and the Alcantara is pretty sweet. The entire backside of the wheel is covered in Alcantara not just the airbag. I decided to change over to the OEM shift paddles.
I really wasn't feeling the Alcantara ones, although they do look awesome. But after awhile, I can vision that these paddles would become filthy from your fingers touching them all the time, and the oils from your hands.
But not only that, eventually the Alcantara would probably come off, years down the road. Besides these aren't the correct paddles for a E63 anyway. Now if you decide to do this, keep in mind the Ledermanz doesn't sell the airbag with the steering wheels.
I just happen to get mine as a package deal, and the new airbag required coding to the car. And we had to clear all the codes left from the faulty steering angle sensor.
Now I'm lefted with my OEM wheel and airbag, and Alcantara paddles that were transferred over. You never know when you might need a replacement airbag.
I'm not sure whether to sell the wheel or just keep it. I know for sure, that I will keep the airbag, as this is worth about $1000 by itself.
Now I have to wait for my carbon fiber interior trim pieces and shift knob, which are two weeks out from completion hopefully. I will contact OCarbon and DCT Motorsports next week to see where we are at.

I have the P030 package so I have the CF trim and the alcantara steering wheel. The alcantara is a blessing and a curse. I'm tempted to start driving with drivers gloves because it gets matted down so easily. My E63 is my weekend toy, if you daily drive yours it will probably be worse. Something to think about.
The CF trim will look EPIC and the sound system mods are awesome!

Thanks 503C43 ////AMG,
Look into buying Sonax Upholstery and Alcantara Cleaner, from the research I conducted their one of the best. I bought myself a bottle when my new wheel was in route to the US.
I make sure that my hands are clean before touching the wheel. And I plan to buy a small bottle of hand sanitizer to keep in the car. But no matter what preventive measures, I take it's going to get dirty.
My hats off to Ledermanz, this wheel is definitely beautifully made, using the highest quality of materials.
Well yesterday, I took a 2 1/2 hr trip to Breezewood PA from Rosslyn, VA to rendezvous with my brother to pick up my mother on their way back to NJ.
I must admit the new steering wheel felt great on my hands, but I am self conscious about getting it all nasty and dirty.
I even bought a small bottle of hand sanitizer, that I keep in the center console, to use. I have seen the OEM performance pack steering wheels with their matted and dirty alcantara.
And it doesn't look good after awhile. But dam does this wheel look good.
I have just purchased this, and will be installing it, when I get my interior trim carbon fiber pieces. I was told that the carbon trim should to soon, as the pieces have come out of the oven, and need sanding and polishing.
So hopefully, I will have them next week. I'm still haven't heard anything from DCT Motorsports for the completion date of the carbon shifter.
Not sure you noticed or that it matters, but the carbon weave on that instrument gauge is in the opposite direction from the weave from your oCarbon pictures.

Just now I did, after you pointed it out. Good eye..... This piece is from NicRight, so naturally the carbon weave would be opposite of OCarbon's.
But that doesn't bother me one bit. Can't wait until it's installed. Just got a update from FedEx, arrives Friday by end of the day. So no install happening this week unless, I put it in myself.
I called DCT Motorsports last Thursday, and pressed Ivan on providing me with an ETA when the carbon shifter would be completed. He said that he will get back with me an answer, well I've been waiting patiently, and 6 days have past without even a peep. So I just pressed him again today, he elaborated more on the entire process. The shift knob is currently in Taiwan, not China. I'm very relieved about that, because nothing that comes out of China is worth anything. He said that if I couldn't wait, he would refund me my money. So we agreed that he would contact them, and I would give him until Aug 30th. If he didn't receive my carbon shifter by then, or at least have an update for me, then a refund would be due. I really want this part, but really hate waiting for it, it's been almost 5 weeks thus far.
The pieces are back in the oven now to cure again after getting more epoxy. You’ll see in the pics how much thicker it is this go around. They’ll come out in the next few days and then we can clear coat them and get them ready to ship. So probably sometime next week.
I can't wait to install the carbon interior along with the carbon gauge cluster.
In the final stages now, getting everything clear coated. Will need a couple days to cure before we can wet sand and polish, then we'll have to re-affix all the chrome with a bonding adhesive. I'll get some pics of everything for you tomorrow.
