Trunk tank; max efficient size

Speaking of tank, I’m in the process of running a trunk tank, I have the hoses and a 5 gallons fuel tank that my buddy gave me which I converted to an ice tank. It’s ready to install and routed but I also ordered a 7.5 gallons ice tank. Would 7.5 be too much for KC to cool down? I’m using secondary rule 2000 pump as well.

Fuel tank had a very small opening that I had to cut to 6” I order to fit internal pump, bought lid from amazon and it worked out perfectly

insulated tank to prevent dripping and keep it cooler.

Rigged up trunk tank thermostat this past weekend right before track day. Such a comfort peace of mind to know how cool the fluid coolant in the tank is with quick glances instead to hooking up OBDII then log on dash command for IAT data that eventually disconnect all the time. During a hour delay siting at the stage lanes, luckily I filled my 5 gallons tank up with nearly 20lbs of ice and it was still chilling at 31.8 prior to my burn out. Ran a PB at 11.4, 1.5 60’ but horrendous trap speed 115mph. Oh well, more track time for me.

Thank you to all (Trabots & SICAMG) that suggested to rig up tank thermo. I love it! 🙏🏻
