Tendons, I lowered my 211 with the Kleemann module, only have 1k mi. since but I do like it very much. The ride is a bit stiffer in all modes, but nothing near harsh, it is quite acceptable. My car is about 1-1/4 " lower than stock , looks and handles great.................Jimmy

kleeman

I went into the kleeman site, got to chassis for 211 and couldn't open the module area. All I got were two pictures of springs.

Our shop has lowered a client's w211 e55 for him. We ended up deciding on using the bracket method as Kleeman was not very much help for setting up an account. Overall, the drop is about 1.5 inches or so and the ride has gotten stiffer but not that harsh. The client has not noticed any improvement on handling, but the vehcile looks much more aggressive and sporty (especially with some 19inch wheels). Hope this helps.

The KLEEMANN module is just that- an electronic control module which is wired in series with the ADC module. The wiring is very simple and takes only about an hour to install. Static ride height and Rear ride height are independently adjustable by the installer. The module gives a 35mm drop initially and is then adjustable +/- another 15mm.

kleeman

thanks. Is there another site to get more information other than the kleeman-rentech site? If it doesn't allow more of a whipping, (maybe oversteer) feeling, I probably won't do it.

I lowered my car (with 19" OZ Classe wheels) and I must say it looked so much better but the ride was compromised with more harshness than I liked. That said, I think it came more from the 19's than anything else. I had it done at wheel Tech in Miami. I dont know how they done it or what with. I had it done as soon as I bought the car... drove it straight from the dealer to them. Purchased the wheels and tires for mine and my wifes car with a lorinser body kit (c class).... they were supposed to send the original wheels & tires (obviously brand new) back to my home but the new came... I never saw them again and after repeated calls 1 manager after another came and went. Never Buy from those guys!!!! Anyway, back to the lowering, recently I had a suspention problem with the right side strut deflating. They fixed it once but it cam back. After fixing it again (replaced both front struts) they gave it back but it was not level on both sides. I took it back and then got the bad news.... They were not going to warrant the suspension any further as they had noticed that the suspension had been lowered. They gave it back to me with original factory settings and basically said to me that they were not going to send me a bill for what they had done in the past.
Check that you dont void your warrantee!!!

How much does the kleeman module cost? Does it lower a car more than any other tuners lowering module?

Can an e55 be lowered and also use 20's or are 19's the max for a lowered car?

Expect to pay around $2000 for the Kleemann module then factor in an hours worth of labor to install.

The Kleemann module is the most adjustable. Lowers the car 35mm then has a swing of +/- 15mm more.

See https://mbworld.org/forums/cl55-amg-cl65-amg-cl63-amg-c215-c216/71313-cl55-lowered.html for my complete write up on different modules.

Are 20 inch rims too large to use with a drop?
