anyone else wondering when the real catch to running a fixed pulley will pop up? that rattling sound can't be harmless long term

The guy (Alex) takes a lot of time, explains why he does what he does, gives tips and saves many of us a lot of headaches and time. I think the videos are educational and I enjoy them, same goes for AMG Meister. Both are great resources and I appreciate what they do.

Honestly i dont see any reason to run a fixed pulley, rattling noice, higher IAT etc, also i cant agree that the difference is that big compared to a clutched pulley as some say (imo!)

I really like all his videos. It is the only channel I am subscribed to that I have watched every single one as they come out. Invaluable information and Alex getting some coolant to the face can only make it better.

I'll agree here. Watching his stuff helped me kind of guide a decision on buying the car I did, from the point of view of the Benz tech he was.

The drag racing stuff.. well, that's a bit of a different story.

I think his rational was he was going to a smaller pulley and when the clutch engaged it was harsh. This could be avoided by using the fixed pulley.

Pro:
Instant boost
No chance of exploding blower clutch
The sound, more blower noise
No harsh engagement with smaller pulley

Con
Rattle at idle
Higher IAT's
Gas mileage?
More wear on the blower

Shame you couldn't mine a little class in that farm. Or convert a little to fiat and buy some.

BTW, who the hell even mines anymore? Those asics must be costing more in power than they're making.

BTC will be worthless when NSA activate the SkyNet system.

I could care less where he gets his parts or what he pays for them. Why is it you have a problem with him posting mods to his cars yet you open up a thread showing what you do?
I enjoy it when anybody does this stuff, including you. Now please, quit screwing up the thread.

Why would you think I'm hating on crypto? Or working in a cubical?

If you're in heavy in the crypto space, there's a high likelihood you will be using my platform in the coming months.

And it's very apparent your take on class.

I tend to find those that talk the most usually have the least. It's the way of the internet.
